BRIEF HISTORY

EXTREME FREEDOM was set up in 2002 By Kane Grundy to provide quality Spearfishing gear to the keen spearos in the Hawkes Bay region. Back then we were known as "Wild Blue Hawkes Bay" as the sport grew we re-branded to Extreme Freedom in 2005 which better reflects the nature of our spearos attitude here in the bay as we travel far and wide as well as locally in search of good fish and diving.

We understand all spearfishing areas and have extensive experience in Bluewater hunting as well as tropical and local reef hunting techniques we will be able to help you with any of your gear requirements.

LOCAL CLUB

Kane is also one of the founders of the local spearfishing club in Hawkes Bay known as "Freedom Divers" this club has been very active and strong since day one in November 1999 the photos in the gallery section of this site show many of the members with their proud moments. The club supports new and young spearos wanting to get into the sport and from time to time will help sponsor trips sometimes up to 90% of the cost. If you are interested in joining please contact us through the "Contact us" part of this site or come up and meet us on the 1st Wednesday of each month at Quay side restaurant and Bar Ahuriri @ 7:00pm. We would love to meet you!
